Day 2: Favorite Actress Discovered in 2024
Anna Sawai as Toda Mariko in #Jdrama / #USdrama Shōgun. #AnnaSawai (Japanese/NZ) won Best Actress In A Drama Emmy, #Shogun won for Best Drama and 16 other awards. Her performance was so riveting, bringing the strong principled Mariko to our screen, emotional, moving, our heroine who is not afraid to make the ultimate sacrifice because that's her duty. Day 3: Favorite Actor Discovered in 2024
Hiroyuki Sanada as Lord Yoshii Toranaga in #Jdrama / #USdrama Shōgun (character based on Shōgun Tokugawa Ieyasu). He's a powerful warlord (bushō) and lord of Kantō, one of the five Regents ruling Japan at the time.
#HiroyukiSanada won Best Actor In A Drama Emmy (first Japanese), #Shogun won Best Drama, a record 18 awards. Hiroyuki Sanada gave us a masterful commanding performance, formidable in every way.
