@dcoderlt @EUCommission Very good point! I was already thinking exactly that same. People don't want to have this crap, but the EU commission is forcing it to them. So what the common sense makes this entire voting now, if EU parliament don't listen the EU society's choice/voice?

Clearly, some people do want it. And democracy is the process to create compromise decisions where there are competing interests, like this one.
Sorry, you're not getting what you want. But if you expect government to do only what you want, then that's not democracy.
If you think democracy is not representing you, then organise with others and create a louder voice.

@TCatInReality @dcoderlt @EUCommission No normal thinking person want to have its private correspondence to be read by the others. Only someone stupid or very naive will allow such thing. Besides, the confidentiality of correspondence has been in force for years and not without a good reason.
Btw.. In the reality democracy is an mythos and even an logical paradox. So please spare me that papalapap talk.

The Commission proposed ChatControl, Parliament rejected it. The vote this week is for the Parliament, so yes, this is your opportunity to prevent others from deciding. Go vote!
