Kid: "Mom, what are you eating?"
Me: *chews faster*
@TarkabarkaHolgy I have found that parenthood is a constant journey of acquiring a taste for foods that kids just won't eat, so you know there will always be some for you.
It explains why my father ate black pudding and pickled mussels when I was a kid. Didn't work, just like it doesn't work for me.
See also my affection for Turkish Delights, and the little Quality Street sweets that look like an old womens hat. And grapefruity juice. All acquired to have something the children won't scoff immediately. @si_fuller @TarkabarkaHolgy

I'm just glad my kid is nowhere near a picky eater as I was.
@TarkabarkaHolgy kiddo can't speak yet, so for me it's the other way around:
Me: Wait a minute, what are you eating?!
Kid: runs away, chews faster
