Bedtime Disengage. Roll D20.
Nat 1: You fell asleep. Kid left the room.
2-5: You peek. Child is staring back at you like a tarsier.
6-10: You make a move. Child grabs onto a facial feature of choice.
11-15: Leaving the room you step on a toy. Child bolts.
16-19: You make it to the door when a tiny voice calls you back.
Nat 20: You leave the room. Kid's still asleep. Your remaining Adult Brain Function is hours equal to your Con modifier. Halved. Rounded down.
@TarkabarkaHolgy it's been awhile but I think I rolled a lot of natural 1s
@TarkabarkaHolgy Always rounded down.
@TarkabarkaHolgy You're giving me PTSD (post toddler sleepytime disturbance)
@quantensalat does that mean that it will get better?
@TarkabarkaHolgy I dare say it does indeed get better, in some ways definitely, and some freedom is regained step by step. Some days, once again woken up at 2:30am, I could not believe it'd ever gets better, just as on a cold and rainy day it is hard to believe in sunshine, but then one day...
The problems that remain become more complex though.
@TarkabarkaHolgy Like a tarsier! Such a strong mental image.
